About Us

Brick Doctor, the brick and stone specialists, are a third generation company that is proud to offer their masonry services. The Young Family has been in masonry since 1908, when great grandfather Buck Young laid his first brick at the age of eighteen. Since then, the Young Family has made masonry a proud family tradition.


Fulfilling a lifelong dream, Jody moved to Kansas City in 1996, and started Brick Doctor. Since the founding of the company more than 12 years ago, Jody has maintained the company's commitment to quality, service, and customer satisfaction.

Born into masonry, you can bet that as soon as Jody could walk, he had a trowel in his hand. Jody's education in the trade started as a young boy during the summer months working with his father. At the age of 18, he started his career, learning from great masons such as his oldest brother Danny Young, owner of Young Masonry in Dallas/ Fort Worth Area, his older brother Steve Young owner of Keystone Masonry in Northwest Arkansas area, and Charles May, owner of Ray & Sons Masonry, specializing in commercial construction.

After his father’s passing, Coleman has been keeping the Young’s family tradition alive by taking over the family business. In his short time at the head of operations, Coleman has helped Brick Doctor continue to grow and thrive in today’s competitive market.
